Camp 10 Ski n Snowboard invites you to discover us! (Or rediscover us and the many changes we’ve made).
The ‘Us’ in About Us is really a wide-ranging regional community effort by owners, season passholders, businesses, and ski patrollers to continue the growth and improvement of one of Wisconsin’s larger ski areas in the very unique family oriented manner we all enjoy. Come ski or snowboard with us and enjoy spectacular scenery, lots of friendly smiles and a great fun day…come once and you’ll be back again and then you will be part of ‘Us’ for a lifetime.
The season starts with the completion of a whole lot of major projects all undertaken with the thoughts of enhancing involvement and enjoyment at the Camp 10 Ski Area. Snowmaking got some special attention with the complete replacement of our pipeline from the Wisconsin River. This all new bigger pipe line will provide a much better flow to our high pressure vertical turbine pump station. Then we added 10 more snowmaking machines to out fleet, six of which are operating about 25 feet above ground. Plus we added more pipelines and more underground wiring. Then we put all new tracks on our small groomer and added a number of refinements to our large groomer. We increased our chairlift capacity, made improvements to our bunny tow, and made improvements to allow reopening of our West side.
All of this possible through the great financial support of our fabulous customers and season pass holders!
We also owe a very special thanks to a number of people who jumped in provided a lot of volunteer help.
Our Ski Patrol has been participating in some fund raising activities and getting some corporate donations so we can equip our recently donated rescue toboggans. And you may have noticed a new fresh look to out web page…again thanks to volunteer efforts.
The Camp 10 Ski Patrol continues to add new volunteer members who are there to provide help and assistance if needed. The patrol offers pathways to being qualified members of the National Ski Patrol. New programs for this year include our new 34 hour OEC program which provides the candidate parallel options to become certified ski patrollers. This is our first step to make a program that better fits todays busy schedules and still provideds an excellent level of initial first aid care.Anyone interested in more information on these programs should contact us at any time: talk to one of our patrollers or send us an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Visit our Ski School Finding great, qualified, and caring instructors isn’t the easiest thing but Camp 10 has been very very fortunate in gathering up a crew of top notch individuals to work with our customers. Our staff includes experts who grew up in the North woods as well as experts that taught at some of the big name ski areas in New England. Our staff includes teachers who do a great job with kids on the slopes as well as in the classrooms. Our staff includes snowboarders who have the know how-care-and patience. Whether you are new to skiing, an intermediate who wants to get better, an expert who needs help with a minor point, adventurers who wants to try snowboarding, or an aspiring racer – our team is here for you!
Junior Racing Program Our Junior racing program has fun learning/doing sessions every other Sunday afternoon. The program is geared to kids 4th through 10th grade with no additional charge to participate. The kids can be at any level but they do need to know how to turn and stop under control in order to participate. Our racing program falls under the general umbrella of the ski school but has its own volunteer coach. Our coach has had a considerable racing experience and really enjoys working with the Camp 10 kids. Actually everybody does! And you’ll see other instructors, ski patrollers, and volunteer Moms and Dads all getting involved with the kids. Its fun and the kids become better skiers/snowboarders and have a blast doing it. And this year we are adding an all-electronic timing system so the kids can instantly see how they are doing.
We offer the lowest priced group program of any mid west ski area. We have the place, we have the price, and we have the fun. Contact us and we’ll customize a program for your groups specific needs and the fun is a bonus!
